Equinox Australia

As we stand opposite the place of the rising sun that gave us light for the last 6 months we now turn to the deep waters of the changing time, sunset, dusk, autumn, harvests end, as the darkness increases the sun grows old, our thoughts turn towards the coming winter.

Let’s weigh up what we have achieved and start plans for what is to come, let’s sort and store our seeds, and prepare our tools for our journey to the underworld, the deep mysteries.

We stand at this western water crossroad preparing ourselves emotionally for the passage within to the deepest self.

On Tuesday when the sun moves into the astrological sign of Aries here in Australia, we celebrate the moment of Equinox, of balance, light and dark, and of the turning of the wheel.

Expectations

“Expectations are premeditated resentments.”

When I find myself having expectations, alarm bells ring deep within my being as it indicates that somehow I am still trying to control people, places and things. I have found that I can normally trace any resentment I feel back to my expectations.

Sometimes when I am not rested or I haven’t nurtured myself properly by taking time to centre with my own divine presence I forget that my job is to simply to show up and to be in my day, the divine Nature will take care of the results.

Since expectations are results in disguise, it’s no wonder they so easily lead to resentments.
