Respect

Respect.

What has happened to this word, its morals and its energy?

When white man first landed on these shores he had little respect…It seems that continues to grow in this continent, to a point where it’s become so dangerous, especially to women, the very lack of it.

Respect does NOT have to be earnt, patriarchy talking there, with fists on chest!

Respect comes naturally when you open your heart, respect is self-knowledge, and it is the highest expression of love.

It’s becoming very clear that often lack of respect is often self-loathing. If you cannot respect someone, the fauna, the flora, the planet then do work on yourself, dig deeper; find your impediment against love. Having respect, will bring you love, and bring you respect.

The Descent into Autumn

As we stand at the entrance to the West gate, opposite the place of the rising sun that gave us light for the last 6 months we now turn to the deep waters of the changing time, our shedding complete, we stand bare, sunset, dusk, autumn, harvests end, as the darkness enfolds the sun grows old, our thoughts turn towards the coming winter.

Let’s measure what we have achieved and start plans for what will ensue, let’s sort, sift and store our fruits and seeds, and prepare our tools for our journey to the underworld, Her deepest mysteries.

We stand at this western water crossroad preparing ourselves emotionally for the passage within to the deepest self.

On Saturday at 8.39pm EST when the sun moves into the astrological sign of Aries here in Australia, we celebrate the exact moment of Equinox, of balance, light and dark, and of the turning of the wheel.

Time for  preparing for the doorway down, through the Mysteries once again, Mabon or Alban Elfed (the light of the water)  is approaching, I shall open myself to the seeing, this place of deep waters is for my healing. The land is slowing, rotting, swelling and falling.

Nature and my ancestors are imprinted in my bones. Water holds the memories that bring me back, year after year to revise this sacred life, to learn, to walk through new lessons, and to grow stronger through the deep harvest in Water.

I am the seed in the pomegranate, swimming in the ancient bloodied waters.

As I grow older like the sacred land, I want to keep growing, learning and live a full, happy life, because I deserve it!

As I withdraw more and participate a little less in service with humanity, Hecate stands at the crossroads, smiling, and she shows me this is my personal key to harmony. The Wisdom of the Goddess shows me the importance of service to Her, and that my longed-for healing takes place with helping and assisting Her.

Light thy torch of gnosis dark lady, illuminate my path, the divine Presence within me knows to become whole I must awaken within the glowing embers, and ignite thy dormant seed.

As I mature so does my need to let less people in, to mentor quietly from my truth, Her truth, this is a process that I will continue till I draw my last breath and journey west for the final time in this incarnation. Now as Autumn Equinox approaches, I know my journey continues again as we move to this place on the Compass, the place of deep reflection and scrying and deep memory; you too can take this opportunity for your own healing.

Cut down the branches impeding your growth, and your forward movement. Make way for new growth, and your own ongoing evolution, these are exciting times as the paradigm shifts and we walk each other home again…..

Lugh’s Harvest Ends

Healing forest waters……bringing back the the abundant life that was so parched by the years of drought and fires.

Morning light captures the beauty of Nature in all Her sweet rawness.

We now walk…..with the mornings fog…..and dew on the land……towards the west gate…..opposite the place of the rising sun in the east that gave us light for the last 6 months……that fed Lugh’s luscious corn and barley.

We now make our journey……the leaf litter soft……spongy like a carpet of stories…..unfolding from the bush…..with each precious step we take forward.

Wandering in the mornings with the Wallabies…..their inquisitive heads poking out above the long fertile summer grasses in flower.

Afternoons we stroll……with the galah’s seeking out new homes…..they screech with the delight of their abundance…we too find our delight in the coolness….the turning in….the rotting down of summer…..towards the deep waters of the changing time.

Shedding more……as we too let go…..as the season disperses her fruits, flowers and seeds…..collecting these gifts, and insights.

Lughnasadh now behind us…..we make our way…..carrying us forward towards…. the nearing sunset……the imminent dusk of the year to come.

Our thoughts turn towards autumn…..leaf fall…..Autumn Equinox…..harvests end…..Alban Elfed….the light of the water.

As the days shorten……the path of shadows then darkness unfolds……the sun grows older……as does our wisdom…..on our eternal journey through the forest of life. ❤

Water

Such a joy to wake up to full tanks, dams filling up, and the sound of squelch squelch under your gumboots, and the land sighs and moans with the ecstacy of fertility that Mabon brings yet again as we travel to the West the place of water we find Her Reflections all around us.

The water falling helps with the rotting down of Summer, just as our tears flowing help to assist our releasing and removal of what may be rotting away inside of us.

Beautiful tools to assist our spiraling journey through Autumn to Winter with the releasing and the letting go.

The beautiful Earth Mother shows us the way, our roots are once again nourished by Her waters, giving us the strength to release what we need, shake loose all that that binds you, and stops you soaring.

Trust yourself to the Water, relax, you cannot hold its sides, float, and rise above, for water will hold you when you dont struggle.

Just as life will hold you when you surrender to your fears and you too will feel the flow in your life.

Water, beautiful life giving and affirming Water thank you for reminding me that I belong to everything.

Is not this a true autumn day? Just the still melancholy that I love – that makes life and nature harmonise. The birds are consulting about their migrations; the trees are putting on the hectic or the pallid hues of decay, and begin to strew the ground, that one’s very footsteps may not disturb the repose of earth and air, while they give us a scent that is a perfect anodyne to the restless spirit. Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.

As the cauldron of the potential awaits for the downward journey to Her.

Are you ready?

The divine Presence within me knows to become whole, I need to live fully, to take part, and become involved with others. Some days I can choose to do just a little at a time, until I feel I can do more.

As I mature so does my willingness to let more people in, to mentor from my truth, Her truth, this is a process that I will continue till I draw my last breath and journey west for the final time in this incarnation. All of us have a deep, deep desire to belong, spiritually we are at our best when we participate with others, this is the time of year to consider cutting down the branches of isolation, and make the way for new growth toward a life of loving involvement. Remember this…Life is for living!

Sunday’s Blessings

Did you hear the droplets fall from the mighty gum trees this morning, did you witness the liquid glistening as the Eastern Sun rose and made magical lights in the pine trees to put any Christmas tree to shame. Did the soles of your feet crunch through the frost covered lawns, and leave tracks behind like an ancestor explorer. Did you listen to the Magpie’s greeting to the new day as the Eagle’s strength flapped above you on large feathered wings? Did the discarded branches, shaken loose under a new moons blanketed sky, make you dance around them on your path this morning? Did you disturb the small heard of deer as your feet scrunched through the layer of brown gum leaves, as you headed down the hill, and did you walk towards the rising sun known as Uri, and wish her a blessed day, and peace and joy to humanity, as the moments of sunrise, give all a chance of a new beginning, new thoughts, and a new day, deepest Autumn Blessings on yours.

Honesty of Spirit

This weekend I have been reminded deeply, down to the very bones of my ancestors, the importance of honest communication and negotiation. What an even more amazing world we would live in if we were more authentic, followed our hearts to the matter of things, and even more so followed our gut instincts.

As the wheel turns its face towards the decent, the movement from Water to Earth, we find the place in between…the mud, where the elements of water and earth unite.

Sometimes when we get stuck in our past roles, it’s like being in the mud, it’s hard to get out, it acts like a suction on the soles of our feet. In this mud our vision can be blurred, instead of the honesty required we may play out the role of our inner hurt child, pretend, hide, maybe even lie and create chaos, instead of growing up, stepping out of the mud and saying exactly what we mean.

At Autumn we are shown a gift, all is maturing in nature around us, and so can we. We can be adult enough to speak our minds, face to face to others. If we miss this moment, like the fruits, if not harvested, they rot, and so does a part of us.

This is a time when you can embrace the intimacy that you can explore with another heart to heart, take a risk, or be forever held at arms distance from your own truth.

If you are in the mud, if your journey has you in isolation or loneliness, now is that space, that moment of stepping forward into the importance and maturity of honest communication.

When we make a decision to step out of the mud, we clear our own vision, and we can release fear and worry, as the pathway ahead becomes so much lighter under foot.

Happy travels to honesty of spirit!
